Meet the Judges

Four judges will have the difficult task of crowning the champions during the Macaroni Kid Cooking Challenge live cook-off, when 6 children will go head to head creating on-the-spot dishes with surprise ingredients. Dishes will be judged on creativity, presentation and taste.

Join in the family fun at our live event with our presenting sponsors CuisinartEggland’s Best and Produce for Kids and RealSweet® Sweet Onions. Local favorites JB Yoga and Edible School Garden will also be on hand doing seed planting and Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga demos. Bren Herrera is a private chef, lifestyle expert, tv personality and cookbook author (Modern Pressure Cooking) with a passion for exploring and curating the best of life. She uses food, travel and style to introduce new experiences through her cooking and digital conent creation on her newly rebranded site, aptly named House of Bren. In her kitchen, she combines Cuba's vibrant palate, seeded in African, European, and Spnish history, with modern flavors and textures, to create memorable dishes. Her philosophy is simple: use the freshest ingredients and unique spices while maxiing time in one of her vintage or modern pressure cookers. She always infuses international flavors and techniques she's learned while traveling the world. Her goal is to transport her diner and audience to a special place through lovely & delicious food and storytelling that inspires. Bren has been and is the spokesperson/Ambassador for many products, has received many culinary awards and has appeared in numerous television shows.



Cristina Greeven Cuomo is a born and bred New Yorker, mother, journalist, and philanthropist. After receiving her BA from Cornell University, Cuomo went on to lead a number of successful publications like Manhattan File, Gotham, Hamptons, and LAConfidential. After a dozen years as editor in chief, Cuomo became content chief and live morning TV host at the resort network, Plum TV. After five years editing Manhattan magazine and editing the magazine she launched, Beach, she started her own media company, CC Productions, which creates content for high-end brands. She is writing a book for Assouline about surfing, hosts of PBS' Best Places to Live as well as a host of The Faces of Philanthropy, and is founder and editor of the well-minded site, The Purist, which will also have a print component launching in May. Cuomo sits on the board of Turnaround for Children, which turns underperforming public schools in high poverty areas into the top performing learning centers in their districts all over America. She also sits on the advisory board of The New York Botanical Gardens which provides science programs to school kids in the Bronx, as well as on the board of Madoo Conservancy, late artist Robert Dash's garden utopia in Sagaponack, New York.


Karine Bakhoum (KB) is the President of KB Network News, a leading restaurant consulting and public relations firm in New York City. With a palate insured by Lloyd’s of London for $1 million, KB frequently lends her culinary expertise to shows including Food Network's Iron Chef America, Cooking Channel's Unique Eats and the new 24 Hour Restaurant Battle. A formidable cook and tastemaker herself, KB has consulted with industry heavy weights such as Alain Ducasse, Steve Wynn, Jeffrey Chodorow, Todd English and Shea Gallante, to name a few.She is a full time Hamptons resident and mother of two. 



Scott Kampf is the executive chef at Union Cantina and Southampton Social Club in Southampton. Kampf acquired his culinary training through extensive international travels.He is an award winning chef who has been featured on the show "iron Chef" as a sous chef on the challengers team. It was a great experience and he had the opportunity to meet Bobby Flay, Marc Ecko & Gael Greene. Kampf does a lot of volunteer work, including working with the Breast Cancer Center in Southampton and the Needlers Foundation. He also works with churches and food pantries in the Southampton area.
